Spending the afternoon with this family was just what I needed to break out of the winter doldrums! It has been slow season around here which means I have spent a lot of time cooking, eating, and loving on my babies. But, I am so thankful to feel the warmth in the air and to see the sunshine again through my lens!
Erin and I decided during their session, that chasing toddlers is tough work when you are pregnant! She and I have been close in our pregnancy journeys and I was so relieved to hear that I was not the only one who found it a little tiring the second time around! My babies are 15 months apart…she said she thought about me often during the early months and didn’t know how I did it! Now, I look at her and think the same thing! I don’t know how I did it either! LOL!
Being pregnant is such an amazing time in a woman’s life…the first time around you really enjoy the entire process because you have lots of firsts. I feel like I was able to have 2 “first” pregnancies because mine were so far apart (almost 6 years). But, once you have a toddler and you begin to add to your family, things get very interesting! It is hard to keep up and you do not get to take care of yourself as well as you should because you have a very dependent little human needing you more!
So…if you are pregnant with number, one, two, or ten…ENJOY! The time is short! That sweet baby will be here before you know it! If you are not pregnant and do not have children yet…enjoy your sleep now while you can!!! There will come a time when you feel like you will never sleep again! Am I right ladies??
