Newborns are photographed at home and look their best in their birthday suits! When preparing for the shoot, Mommy should make sure their tummies are full and that they are nice and drowsy! Once I arrive, we can find the best light in the house and get started. Newborn shoots are very slow, quiet and casual. Babies are so unpredictable and I come ready for anything! Our goal is to provide them with a warm soothing environment so they can sleep peacefully while I arrange them in their poses.
The best pictures are full of texture, color and pattern! These are fun and provide a great pallette for getting the best pictures of your little ones! Scarves, hats, tights and boots are so much fun in photographs! Bring as many pieces as you can find when coming for a shoot! I will help you pull it all together! What you may think is tacky…can really look great in a photo! Be willing to experiment and I am sure you will be happy! Below I have a couple examples of awesome outfits put together by pinkletoes. She has graciously allowed me to use these on here! When shopping for outfits, keep these in mind!! Spiring is coming, but texture, layers, and coordinating patterns will still be important!
