kelli who??

Who am I…hmmm…well…here are some interesting things about me…I guess interesting is relative…here are some weird things about me…

~I am a picky eater.
~I love butterflies.
~I am allergic to most animals.
~I love to rearrange my house/furniture often.
~I am a type A personality, that procrastinates occasionally.
~I like to cook in large quantities…I need about 14 children to eat it all.
~I talk fast when I am excited…and my hands move rapidly.  Small children should be kept at a distance if I am really excited!

As for photography related tidbits…I move fast…I talk and laugh a lot when shooting. I get really excited over great light and killer poses (see above what happens when excited). Newborns just kill me…I totally get my baby fix and need more newborns in my life! I seriously love what I do…I know…everyone says that. But, I am grateful to God for this opportunity and can only do it because of Him and His grace on me. If not for Him, I would be nothing.

Finally, my friend and mentor, Molly Flanagan, created the images of me on the blog…she did such an amazing job and I am so thankful for her! Her faith in Jesus Christ is such an inspiration. I truly love being around her! Take a moment to check out her work!

Amanda Ray - Dear Ms. Kelli,

Children’s Wish Foundation International, Inc, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a non-profit organization, which fulfills wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses. We are committed to making each child’s wish a once-in-a-lifetime event. It is our goal, and one we strive for with enthusiasm, to create an escape, however brief, from the challenges these children face every moment of the day. Fulfilling a child’s wish is not about just the child but includes the entire family, giving them the opportunity to share a moment of magic. This magic embraces them all creating fond memories to carry with them long after their precious child is gone.

Caroline is an 11 year old girl whose wish is for a room makeover. Caroline has been diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor. Wilms’ tumor is a rare type of kidney cancer that affects children. It causes a tumor on one or both kidneys. Caroline is a tough young girl who spends a lot of her young life in the hospital for treatment and check-ups. It is our goal to make this the most special day possible for Caroline and her family, providing them the opportunity to create priceless memories to carry them through whatever rough times may lie ahead. We would like to have a local photographer capture her surprise and take some pictures of her relaxing in her brand new room.

We are so grateful for anything that you can do and we appreciate the time and effort you have given to looking into the possibility of making Caroline’s wish come true.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information for you. Thank you again for all your help in fulfilling Caroline’s wish. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. I can be reached at the office at 800-323-9474, Monday – Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm EST or can be reached via e-mail at AmandaR@childrenswish.org or through fax at 770-393-0683. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration of this request.

Warmest wishes,

Amanda Ray
