Jima & Tye’s Marietta Wedding | Polytech University | Wedding Photographer

It truly was a magical weekend. I met up with the bride, groom and family for dinner at a little Greek Restaurant called Blu Greek Taverna right in the heart of the Marietta Town Square. This restaurant was beautiful, and staffed with the most amazing people. Jima & Tye picked this spot in honor of the amazing honeymoon they had planned to Greece! The owner loved that they were getting married and honored them by giving them a bottle of Greek Wine & 3 plates of yummy desserts for us all to share! Later that night…we checked into Casa de Polytech University for a really unique experience…Tye & Jima live on campus in a NEW dorm that will not be occupied until Fall…so, for all the out of town guests, we stayed together dorm style (in private rooms)! I must say that I loved this! So often, when traveling out of town for work, I find myself alone in a hotel somewhere…which can be good…but, for the most part, kinda lonesome! Having friends around made this a lot more fun!

Finally, Saturday morning I awoke to the most beautiful day I could have imagined! The sky was so blue…the flowers were in peak bloom, and it was a wonderful day to get married! Tye is such a gentle soul with Jima…you can truly see the love they have for each other in everything they do. I absolutely felt like the luckiest person around to get to capture that for them! I was so fortunate that Jima & Tye were willing to forgo the family formal shots and opted to spend an hour after the ceremony focusing on getting wonderful images of them together married. Each felt that was the best use of their time…and the family shots were captured at the reception later on!
